Legacy

Barry Kenna commenced legal practice in 1975 from Camberwell. In 1990, he moved the practice to its current location on Station Street, Box Hill South. Barry was known for his brilliant legal mind, no-nonsense approach and simply rolling up his sleeves to get the job done. He was loyal to his clients and maintained lasting relationships with them, even those that were with him from day one.

Barry believed in doing the little things right – calling clients back, straight-talking advice, and charging fair and reasonable prices. This continues to flourish today as a result of referrals and repeat business.

The Kenna Legal team is proud of the long history of this business. We are committed to building on Barry’s vision with modern approaches to ensure his legacy continues.

Team

Stephen Kenna

Stephen started working at Barry Kenna & Co and learning from Barry in 2001. Stephen left the business in 2004 seeking to broaden his business experience and skills. He worked in sales where he learnt the art of negotiation, how to focus on client outcomes and understand the importance of building personal relationships. He’s worked in a start-up, both small and medium businesses and operated a country pub.

Stephen has a deep understanding of the ups and downs of business and can empathise with business owners. In 2016, he returned to Barry Kenna & Co to continue learning from Barry and dedicating himself to the law. Stephen is grateful for the opportunity to build on the foundation that Barry has built. Stephen has a degree in law and a degree in commerce (majoring in economics, finance and quantitative business analysis).

“It is a privilege to look after clients and ensure their needs are met and problems solved. I strive to provide service that is second to none so that clients refer me to their family and friends”.
